Personalized printing (variable data printing) is the digital printing of postcards, business cards, invitations, diplomas and other printing, in which each copy of the product differs from others by a certain set of data, for example, first name, last name, position, etc. With such printing, the product design and some general information remain unchanged in each copy. The distinguishing data is called variable data. Personalized printing provides a targeted appeal to the client, is widely used in marketing and allows you to multiply the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
Variable data for specific tasks
- Personalization of badges, business cards, postcards, diplomas and other information and advertising materials - allows you to easily and quickly order printing using the same type of layout with variable data.
- Marking products are stickers, stickers, labels, tags, in the layout of which unique numbers, barcodes and QR codes are printed.
- Targeted mailing is widely used when sending invoices and other documentation to the customer base in automatic mode and allows you to increase the effectiveness of such mailing. Addresses, names, logos, etc. can be used for personalization. Personalized printing can be performed on invoices, contracts, envelopes, and postcards.
Types of personalization
- Text personalization is the most common type of personalized printing. It is used for targeted mailings, allowing you to achieve the effect of a personal appeal. When using detailed customer databases, it allows you to conduct effective mailing lists.
- Personalization with graphic images - graphic images and photographs are used as variable data . This technology (along with text personalization) is common when printing badges and passes.
- Personalization using barcodes is used when printing badges, flyers, club cards, and passes. The barcode is then used to identify a customer or employee.
